Tasha Thornwall finally had the moment she wanted. After her CIA career was destroyed by Al Simmons, she dedicated her life to revenge. Thornwall went to extreme lengths to learn ways to kill SPAWN! This included using her friend Casper to obtain ways to accomplish this.
When her encounter doesn’t accomplish the goal, Thornwall switches directions to right her wrongs. Casper has been taken captive by some dangerous people. It’s time to give someone else a little bit of Hell.

After the intense action of last issue, this chapter slows things down. Thornwall’s mission plays a long game in freeing Casper. Readers see the darker side of high society in the opening chapter. Watching a “Helldive” go wrong throws one soul in danger. It exposes Thornwall’s methods to get her goals. Moral compass be damned.
Events move to Washington D.C. The writing allows Thronwall to dive back into her CIA days. Watching her navigate the political backdrop adds a new look to the story. As events progress, Thornwall blends all her experiences into the rescue mission at hand. Readers witness how ruthless she can be when needed. It results in a fitting confrontation. The dialogue doesn’t hide the hurt in all parties involved. This moves events into the closing act. An emotionally charged final page caps of events superbly. It leaves the door open for more with a new sense of purpose to lean on.
Rosado and Alonso open up with a seedier look at a deadly thrill. The “Hell Dive” shows the dangers involved. A wide view of a Spider’s hold will catch readers’ attention. Visual never back down from the horrific feel of the hellish environment. It leaves the supernatural portion in a solid place before changing gears.
Washington DC images play into traditional espionage themes. The Senator gala displays the false facade put in place. Thronwall’s expressions add on to the charade. Events take a more violent turn as the rescue begins. Readers see a brutal escape commence. The panels show the detail precision of Thornwall’s skills. Once the smoke clears, panel structure walks through a needed conversation. It winds up derailing destiny into a new lane. Readers watch as the final panel begins a new path to Hell paved with “good” intentions. There’s no better way to leave events than this moment.
OVERALL GRADE: 8.5
Tasha Thornwall’s latest challenge questions her own view of redemption. Illidge & Seeley display a new side of the Supernatural fighter with the writing. Rosado and Alonso feature the espionage aspects to a fitting conclusion. The Spawn Universe best be ready for what’s coming next!
